One hobby is to cook great food for friends and relatives. This year he is hosting the Thanksgiving family meal and plans on serving up some delicious side dishes.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and there are some easy side dishes that can be added to your turkey this year.
Slow-Cooker Sweet Potatoes with Bacon
This sweet-and-salty side dish is super easy and consists mainly of sweet potatoes and bacon, cooked up in a slow cooker for the day.
Cheese Cracker-Topped Squash Casserole
This cheesy dish is made with yellow squash, zucchini, and cheddar cheese and topped with your choice of crackers, but Goldfish work best. Just mix the ingredients together and bake.
Fresh Corn Spoonbread
This is a great way to make for the perfect individual servings and is more appealing than the ordinary cornbread. The recipe includes cornmeal, fresh corn, thyme, chives and parsley. The ingredients are blended and then packed in a circular pan.
Trenton Dierkes loves having his family get together over a nice meal. The holidays are a wonderful time for him to share his love for cooking with everyone. He started cooking over ten years ago as a past time fancy, but really took to the hobby. He thinks it’s a great way to express your artistic side, plus it tastes great too.
